The tiny hamlet of Howth Junction grew from the passing of the railway through this area of North Dublin in Ireland. The early inhabitants worked either on the land or on the railway. The late twentieth century saw the hamlet swallowed into the greater Dublin area thereby losing its identity as a small rural community.
